Ridiculous Coca-Cola Advertorial

On a page full of stats and information about balanced diets, I was shocked to read that a young man’s questions about whether he should cut out sugary foods and snacks is answered by, “there is no such thing as “bad” food, only “poor diets”.” What kind of nutritionist is this, I started thinking and read on.

“If you like chocolates, carbonated sweet beverages, and snacks, there is no reason to cut them out of your diet. The key thing is moderation and eating other foods for balance.”

What in the world crap is this … so I quickly scan down to see what other drivel is being advised by this so-called nutritionist when I saw in maybe 6 point font on the very bottom edge: “This is an advertorial by the Coca-Cola Company.”

That’s just so incredibly sad and bordering on the disgusting.

I started putting this together out of frustration with the amount of misinformation being peddled. Not wanting to be someone who further spreads the same misinformation, I do hope that you will write to let me know if something I have posted is not quite right.Lastly, I also believe that both Eastern and Western medicine have their good and bad points and everyone should try to look at things with an open mind and not blindly trust (any) authority as they have their own agenda and its not necessarily for your good.
