Training vs Trying this Summer

Posted by: healthnut In: Types of Exercise

It’s actually quite easy getting into shape- it’s staying in shape that’s the problem. Not having a fixed schedule always throws me off, especially with the frequent flying and change in sleeping times and patterns.  Often, I feel more exhausted than is warranted, given that I haven’t really done all that much physically.  Then again, we all know that brain work is much more tiring than physical labour.

Anyhow, it’s important, to start getting back on track and stop using my erratic schedule as a reason for neglecting my physical training.  And this time around, it really should be about training versus trying.  It has to be regimented, has to be documented, and has to have a goal.  It’s easier to get started and get going with a trainer and Vision Quest Sport and Fitiness in Seattle has a personal training page to help its members visualize their progress and stay on track.  Personal trainers are also available for those who are really at a loss on how to train.

In addition, visionquestsportandfitness.com actually has an Integrated Wellness Program so that the change is wholistic and not just about exercise. As we all know, we are what we eat and looking good on the outside doesn’t mean all is well in the inside.

I’ve never used them as I don’t live in Seattle but if you do, you definitely should check them out for more information: click here to view their services.

I started putting this together out of frustration with the amount of misinformation being peddled. Not wanting to be someone who further spreads the same misinformation, I do hope that you will write to let me know if something I have posted is not quite right.Lastly, I also believe that both Eastern and Western medicine have their good and bad points and everyone should try to look at things with an open mind and not blindly trust (any) authority as they have their own agenda and its not necessarily for your good.
